Boh stvoril Adama a Evu, aby boli navždy s ním. Žili v raji. Neexistovala tam choroba, smútok ani smrť. Božím plánom bolo, aby ľudia boli šťastní. Adam a Eva neposlúchli Boha. Neposlúchli, tak ako deti neposlúchajú svojich rodičov.

Adam a Eva sa neriadili tým, čo im povedal Boh. Robili, čo chceli. Nezostali v jednote s Bohom. To, čo urobili, vnieslo do sveta hriech. Teraz musia ľudia trpieť a zomierať. Aj Adam a Eva, ktorí boli stvorení, aby žili večne, museli zomrieť.

Boží plán zahŕňa spôsob, ako zachrániť Adama a Evu a celé ľudstvo.

Mnoho rokov po smrti Adama a Evy Boh povolal ľud. Bol to jeho vyvolený ľud. Boli to Izraeliti. Uzavrel s nimi zmluvu. Zmluva je dohoda. Dal im svoje prikázania, ktorými sa mali riadiť. Boh chcel, aby Izraeliti zostali v jeho blízkosti. Povedal im, aby o ňom dali vedieť ďalším národom.

Boh im sľúbil, že im pošle Spasiteľa, osobitného vodcu, ktorý ich zachráni. Boh poslal svojho Syna Ježiša. Ježiš je náš Spasiteľ, ktorý nás privádza k večnému životu.

„Veď Boh tak miloval svet, že dal svojho jednorodeného Syna, aby nezahynul nik, kto v neho verí, ale aby mal večný život“  (Jánovo evanjelium 3, 16).

Ježiš nám ukázal, ako žiť podľa Božích prikázaní. Učil nás, že musíme odpustiť tým, ktorí nám ublížili. Ježiš nás učil, že musíme poprosiť o odpustenie, keď zhrešíme. Ježiš nám ukázal, že Boh nám odpúšťa.

Ježiš zomrel na kríži a bol pochovaný, ale nezostal v hrobe. Vstal z mŕtvych. Ježiš smrťou premohol smrť. Boh nám poslal svojho jednorodeného Syna, aby nás zachránil pred večnou smrťou. Ježiš je náš Spasiteľ, ktorý nás vedie k večnému životu.

Keď Adam a Eva zhrešili, vniesli utrpenie a smrť do sveta. Boh poslal svojho Syna Ježiša, aby bol naším osobitným vodcom, naším Spasiteľom. Ježišov život, utrpenie, smrť a vzkriesenie nás zachránili a darovali nám večný život.

A my máme prežívať každý deň s vďakou voči Ježišovi za to, že nás zachránil pred večnou smrťou a daroval nám večný život.

Slovo na zapamätanie:

Spasiteľ – zvláštny vodca, ktorý zachraňuje ľudí. Ježiš je náš Spasiteľ, ktorý nás vedie k večnému životu.

Izraeliti – vyvolený Boží ľud.

Zmluva – dohoda.

Večný život – byť v Božej prítomnosti naveky.

Večná smrť – nikdy nebyť v Božej prítomnosti.
